The Opticians Alliance of New York is an independent, not for profit organization, established to promote continuing competency and betterment of the opticalhealth professional and to provide a standard of excellence in optical health care for the consumer.

The “Opticians Alliance of New York” (OANY) is to act as the primary resource and active advocate for its members through publications, approved continuing educational speakers and events, networking opportunities and other professional and charitable endeavors.

The Opticians Alliance of New York (OANY) acknowledges the constant evolution of our industry and will contribute to the education of the professional practice of the Ophthalmic Dispenser.

The “Opticians Alliance of New York” (OANY) is an organization of New York Licensed Ophthalmic Dispensers (Opticians), New York State Certified Contact Lens Practitioners and related professionals who deliver a full spectrum of visual services to those with optical needs.

The “Opticians Alliance of New York” (OANY) will be the source for information about optical and visual disorders serving the optical health care provider, consumer, manufacturer and providers of optical related products and services.  OANY’s vision is to protect the health and safety of the consumer public by New York State Licensed Ophthalmic Dispensers and New York State Certified Contact Lens fitters.

Practitioners and to maintain the standards and ethics and enforce the statutes, rules and regulations governing the practice of Ophthalmic Dispensing, including the appropriate resolution of complaints in accordance with the New York State Education Department and the Office of Professional Discipline.
